Well as the season seems to have come to an end, the posts here have virtually stopped ???. So how about a random post thread! Post a picture, silly quote etc and see if the next person can link to it with their following post. Yeah childish, but at least it wont be boring. Have fun ;D
P.S (To moderators, I trust this is OK, if not put it to the sword)

Alfold SC 2 Southwater 'A' 3
Gaz versus Tony T - Tony broke with 7640, Gaz came back with 4240 with no time. Both players were obviously on good form
The Major versus Melvin - Melvin started steadily with the Major struggling to win the break back. Melvin kept added points without a significant break, before the Major settled in to hit a match winning 3+K break
Trevor Versus Ray. Both players started slowly, with Trevor just doing enough to edge in front. With all the balls at the bottom of the table Trevor actually got the break back 8-) to hit 2.5K with the bar dropping to claim the game.
The Minor v Tony F - Both struggled with the split before Tony settled in with 3K. The Minor clearly had his mind on other matters (BEER) and never got going. Tony hit another useful 2K to level the match.
Last up Robin versus Keith. - Keith started well to take early lead, Rob was struggling with the table, not his usual form :'(. Keith hit 2K followed by 1K to put the game and match out of reach.
G Fishburn 4340 T Temple 7760 M Greening 3430 M Blake 2750 T Goacher 3260 R Manser 1580 C Greening 1180 T Franks 5560 R Burgess 1090 K Newman 4710
A pleasant evening with lots of chat, Thanks to the Major for the lovely grub.
Congratulations to the Z's on retaining their league title. Who came second :-X

The Crown v Alfold SC
Mmmmmm where to start ::)
Proably best to focus on the game rather than the 'B' word for now.
First up the two skippers, Rick versus the Major. It was a slow start for both players with neither scoring particularly highly, but Major just doing enough to edge in front. There was a lot of pegging out and missed balls from both players until Rick put together a break of 1.7K as the bar dropped, which was enough to take the game.
The Crown 1 Alfold SC 0
John versus Robin, Robin broke and pegged out :'(, John responded with a reasonable score. Then a dull period with balls tight to the bottom cushion before Rob hit a useful 2K, however, not enough as John came back with the same score from his next visit. Unfortunately for John he let Rob back in who hit a match wining 950 to clear the balls.
The Crown 1 Alfold SC 1
Sparrow versus Garry, Gaz struggled with the break, but Sparrow could not take advantage. Lots of ball pushing and very nip and tuck, but Sparrow was doing enough to edge ahead. Gary then found a little form to hit a useful 1K and with Sparrow fluffing on his next visit hit another 1K with the bar dropping to take the game.
The Crown 1 Alfold SC 2
Dave versus Trevor, Trevor took an early lead with a reasonable break, Dave made no impact on his first visit letting Trevor move further ahead. The game then steadied itself with each player hit modest scores before Dave's experience showed and he hit 2K. Trevor struggled to win the break back allowing Dave to capitilise winning the game for the Crown.
The Crown 2 Alfold SC 2
Last game and the pressure was on Hugh and The Minor to win this match for their Teams pride. Oh was this evident ::). Minor took an early lead with Hugh pegging out after hitting 1K, Minor than missed with his next visit letting Hugh back in with another 1K before missing the ball and losing his score again. Each player was struggling but Minor managed to keep his nose in front. Hugh then came back as the bar dropped needing about 300 for the game. He dug in and got to within 100 of the Minor before leaving two balls up. The Minor steadied himself to pocket both balls to win the game, set and MATCH ;D
The Crown 2 Alfold SC 3
R Padfield 3780 M Greening 1440 J Thayre 3210 R Burgess 3644 C Barrow 1860 G Fishburn 3480 D Sands 4880 T Goacher 2080 H Fowler 1060 C Greening 1270
OH Joy did Alfold SC gloat ;) no, of course we were very gracious in victory 8-)
A pleasant evening and not too much banter, though there may have been a few smirks on the Alfold lads faces. The Crown lads were great in defeat, though non the less a bit fed up.
Good food and beer, what more can I say apart from YES YES YES ;D (No mention of the 'B' word, how controlled am I)

To all you contributers ;D ;D ;D I will endeavour to take a camera tonight and get a pic of the trophy we played for last time that was kindly donated by Mark from the Railway, thats if The Crown have not disposed of it. Hopefully a post tomorrow will reveal all. In the meantime; Will this suffice ??? 8-)
