Has this problem only just started? If so it's worth checking the battery voltage, although it does sound like one of the timing capicitors may have given up.
If the problem has always been there then there is some adjustment on the timer

Just a quick reminder that the draw will take place on Tuesday night at the white horse in sudbury, I will do my best to get it up on here sometime Wednesday so at least you know what groups you are in and for those travelling up on the day you will know if it's an early start or if you can have another hour in bed.

Nice work Nigel, you must have donated many hours or your time completing this and I am sure everyone will back me up when I say that your dedication is gratefully appreciated.
Im also pretty sure jonny hamblin will be impressed as he has managed to appear twice, at number 335 and then again at 359

We are planning to have a blind pairs knock about on Friday 25th March, the day before the main open. Alan Mee has made a couple of trophies for the winners and suggested each pair chucks a fiver in the hat, winners get half he money and the other half goes to SARS. it would really handy if we can get an idea of numbers and what time those coming to Sudbury on the Friday will be arriving
I should add that the bar will be open

Just a maximum of 13 places left
Quick recap on a couple of rule changes.
In single leg games, after the breaking player has completed his FIRST break their opponent has the option to have the balls back and start from the break shot or just to continue from where the balls are
Although we are using the tram lines, we feel there could be times when it is impossible for the scorer to tell if a ball crosses a tram line and returns to play. So it will be called a foul shot if a ball returns to the baulk line as in the end of the green playing surface or a ball comes to rest on or over the tram lines or the"D" as in all cases the "D" counts as baulk.
Hope that is as clear as mud.
Dave

The unique Sam's table at the five bells in cornard is up for sale, due to the pub being sold and redeveloped (into flats) that table has easy drop pockets, so may interest Taffy Be nice to have a picture of a 'unique' table if not too late. Wouldn't think the table has been sold yet as pub isn't due to shut for a few weeks yet and when I asked they wanted over two grand for it. So may be a quick trip up there in march so you can see it yourself, I know John Slee was really impressed by it 😁

Interesting topic ........But nobody in their right mind would pay more than £2000 for a table - no matter how impressive ! tommo
2 grand a table, that's cheap, offer me £4K and you can have my standard width Sams table and I'll chuck in a narrow Sam's, then I'll have enough money to buy an over priced jelkes off fleabay

Unfortunately the Bay Horse in Melford Road Sudbury no longer has a table, hopefully this is only short term (for the next few months) as Kayla has said she is more than happy to get another table in for our next season

Nigel despite what people think, us Suffolk lot did have a good time. I am sure the teething problems surrounding the hotel will be sorted well before next March.
i thought the tournament was superb and brilliantly run.
the format worked perfectly for us 4 pinners, with the groups meaning we had plenty of games rather than just being knocked out in the first match. we really feared our opponents would be breaking and playing the table out so our only shots would be when we had the break off, luckily for us this didn't happen in any of our games and we all had a few shots.
you will always get top pairs, and why not. Players choose who they play with and everyone likes to win their games, so why shouldn't a good player partner another good player.
I did hear some people saying all the games should be over at least 2 legs but with your format of groups everyone must realise that just isn't possible. As it was the timing of the games worked out perfectly with no long waits between games and finishing at a sensible time on the Saturday.
While some will disagree in my opinion, as a novice at 3 pin I think the format was perfect
Looking forward to next March when hopefully I can drag a few more four pinners down
thanks again to everyone involved
Dave
