Looks like Notts may have to give apologies as nobody is available to travel down, will there be an opportunity to proxy vote at all?

I'm at the Ship Inn in Mundesley, Norfolk, sadly no sign of the table that was once here :(

Quick one for you, The Earl of Beaconsfield in Cambridge is in the wrong location on the map

Notts had a cracking day out. Despite only winning 7 legs out of the 56 played, we'd like to think it was a respectable first outing :)
Nice to get my first win(s) in a full AEBBA tournament too!

The quest for ranking points came to an end thanks to the slightest tickle on the black pin needing 130 to win 😢

Bye to the last 32!😲 Is that a ranking point? :D Can anyone confirm if this is the case? 😆

From what I've seen in the Nottingham chat, 7 players will be a struggle but we could manage 5, can't speak on anyone's behalf, but I'd suspect starting every game 2-0 down would make it not worthwhile for us.

Perfect, I'll get my entry in then. Am I OK to pay £8 separately to make up the difference in price?

Hi Joe The £12 would of been just for the 3 Pin open, did you want to play in the 4 as well? They should be ranking events as far as I am aware. We haven't been told any different. My question was just due to it being referred to as "Friendly 4 pin", if it's a ranked tournament then I'd like to enter 🙂

Can't speak on behalf of the County any more unfortunately but can pass a message on. Would Notts be welcome to play in D2? I'd be willing to offer a hand with set up etc as I live a bit nearer the venues nowadays

I did pay £12 last year which I think was to cover both competitions, however I notice that it's now £20 in total for both events. Do we know if this will still be a ranking event?

Good to see that it's now working for everyone, in that case I'd like to invite people to submit any (recently confirmed, last 6 months or so) information they have regarding tables in their local area :)

As some are aware, I'm moving to Cambridge very shortly and I'm curious as to what the three pin set-up is like there. I know a lot about the 4-pin league, but it's really hard to find details on 3-pin.

Thanks for the support, I'll still be involved from a distance to help out, as not everyone has the drive to start a league from scratch and keep it going for this long, although I trust my successors to keep things going smoothly 100%

It appears I've neglected to mention the Committee changes coming up! Unfortunately due to a city move, I've had to step down as Secretary, so Jamie Parker has taken over that role. David Armstrong and Matt Thomas remain as Treasurer and County Captain respectively, and Morgan Buda takes over from Nina Rose as Deputy County Captain.

I've noticed that the rule regarding a ball leaving the bed of the table isn't necessarily specific enough for a game we want to promote to a wider audience. Technically any shot that lands in a hole will result in a ball leaving the bed of the table. As such I'd like to propose (well in advance of the AGM) the following as a "white pin" foul:
If a ball leaves the bed of the table and mounts a cushion or lands outside of the confines of the table

I'm on my travels to a different part of the country at the moment, in the meantime, I'm considering making a revamp on the map using "crowd-sourced" information. I'll do a little trial run on the areas I know more about and keep you all updated!

It was quickly typed on my phone, hence the need to clarify. The top level of the game is what we all aspire to, I wouldn't have to have the words runner-up in my signature if I was able to get 20,000 breaks! 😁

It is hugely disappointing to see that Lorin feels forced to put down the reins. He has been hugely supportive to helping me develop bar billiards in Nottinghamshire, and I think its fair to say, no previous secretary has come close to helping develop the grassroots game as much as he has.
I would like to see a commitment from the new Secretary, whomever they may be, to continue to promote bar billiards at ALL levels, and not just make it a club for those at the top.
I hope my comments are taken in the spirit they are intended, and not as an attack on the top level players as has happened previously.

I'm still waiting to hear back about whether we're paid up or not. There was a similar confusion with us, so I paid whilst at the AGM to cover either last year (if we still owed it) or this year (if we didn't).

Just wondering if anyone here has any information on the old Nottingham bar billiards league that was around in the 1970s
