Thanks, Graham, for the sentiment. Unfortunately some of the problems have been of my own making (putting my trust in a huge organisation with most of its expertise based in the U.S.) It has proved more beneficial for me to find my own solutions, which don't always present themselves right away and I often go around mulling things over for days on end before having a "Eureka moment". I have the utmost respect for all other 'webbies' on here - Sav, Warrior, Nigel, Barbelman, BigTJ, Ric B. to name but a few - who I'm sure have encountered their own particular set of problems before overcoming them. And some of the new websites put up by the youngsters like Luke (Guernsey) Sandy (Hastings) and Tiny (Northants) so quickly are particularly impressive. LOL Tommo you make it sound so easy, but seriously, I'm pleased you shared those insights as it actually emphasizes the effort you make Also good to highlight the good works of other selfless 'webbies' in the Bar Billiards community

Ok, a concerted effort this morning and late afternoon has restored the last pieces of the jigsaw (6 large interleague files).
Now the fun begins, improving the visual display where possible, and the addition of a few images. Also, the Hall of Fame (P18) is a few years out of date as the file I was able to recover was one from 2010. - this now resolved.
P8 Menu re-shuffle Pp 13 – 14 Archived News, 2010/11 & 2011/12 P18 Roll of Honour dating back 40 years P20 Final League tables, 1991-2013 (only goes up to 2010) P26 Player averages, 2008-2011 P27 Player averages, 2011-2013 P29 Finals night 2013 P31 All time list P34 Cup competitions 2010/11 incl. 3rd Masters P35 Cup competitions 2011/12 incl. 4th Masters P36 Cup competitions 2012/13 incl. 5th & 6th Masters P37 Charity Cup 1992-2001 inclusive P38 Charity League 2001-2010 Pp 40 – 41 Home/Away Interleague (1986 report missing) Pp 42 – 43 One Day Interleague Pp 44 – 45 Ladies Interleague P46 County exploits P47 Summer League, 2010 & 2011 (2011 missing) P50 Northants challenge
Pages will be highlighted in green when I am reasonably happy with them.

Just been browsing through the Mid-Sussex website and as reading the article about the Prince of Wales in East Grinstead and saw this lineup Tupper/Lewes/Elliott/Leeson I played in the same team as Harry Leeson when I first started playing in Brighton we also had another top player I think it was Terry Malloy.Harry was the top player in Brighton in the late 70s and early to mid 80s three times Brighton singles champion and considering the players around at that time was no mean achievment.I was mainly reserve at that time still learning the game. Not sure if Harry is still playing I know his dads meat business is no more in the open market.I know Chris upper and Ian Eliotare still playing.

Hi Paul, Glad to see you're taking an interest in the website and there is also a lot to be found on the history in the 70s and 80s on both the Horsham and Billingshurst websites as well. Interleague history from the 90s onward is more comprehensive and fully covered on the SCBBA website. Harry Leeson was indeed a formidable player and is a former teammate of mine too ! In the second year at the Prince of Wales he jumped ship at Christmas and played the second half for us at the Brewery Shades, winning all ten of his games which helped us to win the Crawley League from the POW by one point ! It is a popular misconception that Brighton have always been dominant at Interleague since time immemorial - but this is not the case as their heyday began around 1978/79 - at the same time as several of their players broke into the County side. Before that (in the 50s and 60s) Horsham and Billingshurst were dominant, and in the 70s good spells were enjoyed by Portslade and Littlehampton. But since the 1980s it has been all Brighton and Worthing. The Brighton squad around 1978/79 was Dave Lewes, Mick Winder, Vic Clarke, Jeff Dobson, Terry Race, Colin Smith, Chris Tupper, Dave Elliott, Harry Leeson and Tommy Walters. Many of these are still playing and performing to a high level - which is great to see as they are contemporaries of Worthing stars Ian Lelliott and Roger Taylor and players like Tony Franks, Mick Holmwood and myself who came in to replace the Horsham 'old guard' who had dominated before. And we have all shared a friendly rivalry since we were 'youngsters'.

Competitions page updated with a report on Finals Night: www.mid-sussexbbl.co.uk/page7.htmlClicking on P37 brings up the full progress of all cup competitions for the season - including the Masters with scores. Shame no scores were submitted for the two Masters held in the one year (2012/13) but I can only show what I've been given.

Try this for size.......a full history of bar billiards on a National scale in three separate parts: www.mid-sussexbbl.co.uk/page9.htmlClick on where is says TIMELINE at the top of the Mid Sussex "Bygone Days" page, making your selection from the three choices available: 1972-ON 1991-ON 2007-ON Everyone who has ever won something nationally is in there somewhere, and I am constantly updating with extra photos. The third file provides links to each of the 30 Newsletters so far from Nigel Senior. Okay, let's try one.......Kevin Hall was semi-finalist in the World Championships last year, but didn't he make the quarter-finals once before ? v v v Click on (3) There he is: quarter-finalist as long ago as 2007. ....but no Nigel newsletter to click on and read all about it, as these only commenced in 2009.

I have recently acquired a book which contains a complete record of the Sussex Ladies Interleague from its inauguration in 1972/73 through to 1977/78. Also for the two seasons 1980/81 and 1981/82. The source is entirely reliable, being donated by the Ladies Interleague Secretary at the time (the Ladies ran their own show in those days). Up until now information on the early participants has been very sparse, as will be seen on the "big chunk of red" on this linked page of the SCBBA website: www.sussexbarbilliards.com/Sussex/1%20day%20cups/One%20Day%20Ladies%20Home.htmI will, over the course of the next week, be adding the relevant parts of this new information to the Horsham, Billingshurst and Mid-Sussex websites - and to the Crawley pages hosted by Horsham. When I am done I will release the book to Sussex Website Admin for eventual completion of the full picture. For information, Ladies Interleague started off as a Home/Away competition and switched to a One-Dayer in 1982/83 - which it has remained ever since.tommo DONE for Mid Sussex:docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0Ata1Y76hpZMwdEMxWlVvcVhRZndENEl6OHEweTVVUXc&output=html(Scorecard extension file still to do)

*Announcement* ..... the upshot is that the design wizard I used four years ago has been rendered obsolete, is no longer supported and will shortly be phased out completely. All users were supposed to have been forewarned, but somehow I seem to have been missed..... I have no alternative than to go for a complete re-design, using Easysite Pro-Plus, which they say will be a much slicker arrangement, more easy to maintain and with full technical support. This means that I will be busy over the next couple of weeks, so please bear with me. During this time the 'old' site will still be maintained, but not all the links may work. Apologies for this temporary loss of service, but hopefully the website will be restored as faithful as possible to the original - a bit like Proboards itself when it moved on to Version 5. Well I managed to fend off the change to a new website for 2 years, but it's finally happened: my preferred design tool was removed w.e.f 31/7/15. So the only alternative I'm left with is to go for a complete re-design: Stand by for a bumpy ride !

Tommo is pleased to announce that the new all-singing all-dancing Mid Sussex website seems to have come across okay.
I have tried to retain as much of the old format as was allowed, whilst not losing a modicum of information that was there previously.
Let me know what you think, and if there is any way in which you think it can be improved.
Updates are now possible once more and should be a relatively painless process - which as you know hasn't always been the case !

Tommo is pleased to announce that the new all-singing all-dancing Mid Sussex website seems to have come across okay. Have finished fiddling and tweaking, new website is now as good as I can get it and will need the minimum of maintenance from now on. Would appreciate any feedback from regular users of the site, regarding for example: - does it work okay on a tablet ?
- can you now see this season's fixture list ?
- are the attachment files on the Hall of Fame readable ?

Hi Clive. Sorry to report that I can get the home page on my tablet but when I try to open a page it comes up with a message that it will send you an email requesting access.
Can access the Hall of fame tab ok but can't open further
Comps open ok
County Interleague front page ok but can't open further
Bygone days can't open request access message
I have looked at the Fixtures on the laptop and I can't read it
Good news attachments on hall of fame work fine all in order on laptop I hope this helps.

Thanks Ian, I was expecting some teething problems and your feedback will be instrumental in resolving them. I had no IT support before on the old version but with the new one have the benefit of a response team. I get a message on my own tablet that there is a "link to a suspicious site" which I have to override to get it to work, so may have to remove any links to the Forum and see if that makes any difference !

I haven't had that message, Is there any way when you open the attachments that it opens in a new tab like the main sections do I have found that the home page disappears so you have to use the back arrow or reopen the site again. It's a small point but would make it easier to navigate.
