The new managers changed that already, now we play open expansive football and lose.

That reply would have brilliant comic value, were it not for the tragedy that it is the club who could suffer as a result. :-/

Chester have gone bust ;D That means no game for Oxford Utd tomorrow then, as they were due to play them away. (Copied from a report) Chester’s expulsion mean the deduction of six points from Mansfield, Stevenage, Tamworth and Cambridge, four points from Rushden and Salisbury, and three points from a host of clubs including Oxford United. Some teams, including Luton, Kettering, Gateshead and relegation battlers Grays, would benefit greatly from Chester’s expulsion, with improved league places and closer gaps between them and the teams above them.

Still sad for Chester, though. :'(

Most gutted will be Mansfield Town - still in eighth place but with six fewer points: in playoffs contention before, but not the case now. :o

After the hype of the build up for the local derby, both teams played out a dire 0-0 draw. Kettering never looked like scoring with a weak looking attack, but were resolute at the back, led by the beast of a man that is Ian Roper. Best chance fell to Diamonds in the second half when O'Connor hit the post and Town's best was from a free-kick late on that was saved then the follow up blocked. Not the result either team wanted, but Kettering will proberbly be the happier with an away point.
