I can sort a front page if someone wishes to design one that is suitable as it will not affect Nigel's work.

It already contained links to Timeline, History of Bar Billiards, Sav's treatise on table types. Other additions could be the Poster advertising this Forum. And links to all of Nigels quarterly newsletters.

Yes work was done by Tony when I prompted for ideas in Feb 2015 to overcome the shortcomings of the old site which needed a fresh look to interest the casual browser and not those just visiting for stats.
I did set up a multipage template which thus would not be a lot of help but Tony came up with a flyer that was used at some opens?? That I think, was a move towards what was required for a fresh splash page.
It only needs a '2017, This page is work in progress' notice for now or better a picture of that flyer to bring the front page to life for now.

How about trying this one for size then, Chrissie ? docs.google.com/document/d/10EPMT1aa0guW_hxnei0386iwWPrhknr08ffuulE-LFw/pubMenu is in the same order as on the new site but obviously not with the associated links which would have to be custom fitted. Have 'lifted' Glenn's graphics from his Jimdo site, but he has already granted permission for use thereof. I've kept it plain and simple, but background skin could be added for more colour.....

Hi all,
We have just started the process of moving to a new site.
Whilst the old one (www.northantsbarbilliards.org) met all of it's objectives to increase member engagement, to disseminate and receive information, to be the single oracle for league members, we now have new objectives for which this solution is no longer fit for purpose.
As such we will be forwarding all of our domains over to the new site (www.northantsbarbilliards.com) as soon as I get adequate time to migrate the information that we opt to retain. All new information will be posted on the new site first.
The new site is not fully populated as I have only started this process last weekend but nevertheless enough progress has been made to warrant the change.
I'd be grateful if you could amend the link on the current AEBBA site to reflect the domain name change.
Many thanks,
Lorin

Thanks Tommo, yes all the available jersey and Bournemouth results are all on the website. Lot of work there! Think we have now over 400 tournament results on the website now! Thanks to all the guys that have helped so far.

AEBBA Website beginning to look impressive now with welcome page including a graphic, plus the recent addition of BIOC Jersey/World Championship files. The effort to make the website look more attractive has been delayed by the limited choice of template available in the basic package we have. This is obviously surmountable but the template choice must be compatible with the drop down menus that are necessary for the results pages. I have put a diary on there with entry forms etc., the 2013 rulesheet (which I need to update) and I've updated and tidied up the links page. I also put a piccy on the front page!!! bear with, bear with.... Tony

Northants Open now included. Not only that, ALL of the Northants Opens are now on there (only last year's one was displayed previously). AND an all-time list for Northants: great work, Nigel. I did my bit on the Alt.Rules 4-Pin and sent it through last night, so that one should also appear soon.

Just noticed that I'm the only ever present in the Kent Open, as well as the Sussex Open.
I wonder who else has never missed a tournament ?

But not forgetting this list will also take account of the first one held in Norwich.

Still have great faith in you as regards the Front End, Tony ! I have visions of a smart Hall of Fame page based on Glenn's design from his "Jimdo" site. barbilliards.jimdo.com/national-tournaments/I am willing to do the input of data (taking from Timeline) if someone sends me a suitable Template compatible to the new site. And I'm sure everyone would welcome the AEBBA Rules Page showing 2017 rather than the present 2013....I can send you an updated file if you wish. Cheers, tommo

Just spotted yesterday that on the Northants Open 2016 and All-Time Opens, I'm listed as being from Northants. At the time of competing (and to date) I am in Notts, where I really hope I can get things moving again on a league!

I've been put down as Northants again on the Under 30's results. Can somebody change this?

Yeah, another one I've spotted is on the current ranking list: Gary Tipping (266) is down as Yorkshire, whereas he is Northants.

I've been put down as Northants again on the Under 30's results. Can somebody change this? It actually raises an interesting rules point as, under AEBBA rule 34, only counties affiliated to AEBBA may enter AEBBA competitions.

I was invited to take part due to our league only just beginning and in good faith of our intentions to affiliate, which I believe would have been discussed yesterday?

Hi Joe,
Cannot say whether any application from Notts was discussed yesterday as I ran out of time on my train ticket with the meeting starting almost an hour late. The meeting had progressed to 'Any other business' when I left so I would have thought that affiliation would have been covered earlier in proceedings, was an application made to the Secretary?

A simple way round would be to accredit Joe with representing his previous county, Yorks, for the purposes of this competition. Yorks have a prior affiliation.
Looking at the AEBBA site, there was also a guy playing for 'London' - who definitely aren't affiliated. But I remember playing against him in the Bucks Open last year, when he was down for Kent.
