Sounds good to me, gives a chance for a 4-4 result and division of the (Kipling) spoils. ;D
What split between singles and doubles do you propose ? Although I suppose with eight straight singles margo could play. But she wouldn't take kindly to having 16k put past her by the Colemanator, so the draw may have to be frigged. ;)

Well I think that we may have about 12 players, so how about 5 singles and three doubles? I know that everybody wants to play and it is difficult to appease all, I certainly want the 'home players' to figure in the singles of which there are three of us. But as time moves on you may have some more interest your end, Can you come up with a name for your side and who you are representing (area) We will go out as The Courthouse criminals, Thrapston.
Or any other suggestions.

But as time moves on you may have some more interest your end, We can now negotiate now between 4 singles/4 doubles and a straight 8 singles, and all combinations in between. So far there has been no move from a separate team to come up as well, but I expect not everyone has seen this thread. Can you come up with a name for your side and who you are representing (area) We will go out as The Courthouse criminals, Thrapston. Or any other suggestions. I'm playing against the Reaper's team tonight so we can discuss this further. Knowing him, no doubt he'll want something featuring "Mother Hen" in the title. ;D

Hi Clive Spoke to Mother Hall last night she says yes to going up and she also says yes to driving BUT she can only fit 6 other passengers in her car. And we would have to leave the same night as Both her and I are playing in the doubles at reading the next day.
Cheers Kev, AKA, BB REAPER, BB FLIRTER and any other names you have for me (and dont be rude it wasn't open for suggestions)

You wouldn't beleive how much he eats, you feed him and within minutes he's back shouting for more. I wonder if you might guess the breed easier if you saw a photo of his sister?

It's a Devon Rex with Siamese colourings.

They are BOTH Devon Rex... there is a local breeder who is trying to breed out the fur, (cheaper than a Sphinx). When he first came in we asked the owner "what illness is causing him to lose his fur?"
Didn't go down too well ;D

Hold on, hold on, how did I miss this thread???? ???
I remember starting to read it but lost about 3pages?!?!
Luckily, I had my "naked mud wrestling enthusiast" (who will remain nameless - but you know who you are ;D ;D) let me in on the latest goings on but I feel like I have now missed the boat
:( :'( :( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
Whats in it for spectators? Any odds going on who will crumble first? Will jack flap? Will it be (bakewell) pie in the sky for the locals?
(can I come?) (pleeeeez) :)

I wondered how long it would take for news to filter through ! It seems you have a choice: a - round up your own team of Hayley's All-Stars to play the Courthouse Criminals from lunchtime through to say 6pm OR b - join our squad the Eight Bells Bailiffs but you would have to find a way - along with Big TJ and Dave Jones - to get to Sparky's Layby at Bolney to pick up a lift with the rest of the gang for the 7pm - 11pm session. This would mean that Margo could come after all as we will then go under our own steam (Lorraine's people carrier holds 7 including driver)
