I appreciate that times are hard and some people may not be in a position to donate their entry fee to SARS so there are the following options
For those of you who would like your entry fees refunded please send me a PM with your details so we can arrange a refund.
Alternatively we can just hold your entry fee so you are in credit for when we are able to rearrange the tournament
For security reasons Del prints off every entry form received via email and then the email is permanently deleted and we do not hold anyones bank details.

7 in a dictionary. Sorry though I had to cheat and asked my brother. He also gave me an answer for Q14 so if there doesn't look like there is even a flicker of hope of anyone getting the answer I will cheat again later

Well by this time it should of almost all been over apart the pub crawl after.
By this time last year we had rasied around £1750 for SARS and that total increased further to a final figure of £1'810.
This time obviously with the competition being cancelled everything has been put on hold. SARS rely totally on voluntary donations to carry out their services which in the present climate are being called upon more and more.
The following people have kindly contacted me and asked for their entry fees to be donated to SARS. If I have missed anyone out please let me know and likewise if I have included someone by mistake please tell me.
Clive Thompson Chris Saville Tony Jenner Rick Cunningham Joe Ellison Kevin Tunstall (£12) Alan Mee John Slee Jim Balchin Kirsty Tonkins Simon Tonkins Colin Southouse Dave White Peter Payne Steve Hale Curt Driver Jeremy Fry Jason Lawrence Debbie Ritchie Dave Ritchie Paul Gooch Jeff Bridges James Baker Chris Cass (£10 donation even though he hadn't entered) top man Brett Parker Timothy Haire Tom Arbon Luke Cole-Watts Joe Andrews-Worth Billy Anderson Tyke Tonkins Jim Moore Phile Osborne Colin Norledge (I have paid for Colin, so I will donate the money as he hasn't paid me back) Brendan Hoare (I have paid for Brendan, so I will donate the money as he hasn't paid me back)

9 I remember being caught out with this one in my younger days in the pub. It cost me a round of drinks when they just wrote "your exact weight" down on a bear mat.
13 A dice, or is that too obvious?
16 I guess the wife was a photographer so she shot his photo, done her development thing, held the picture under water before hanging it up

So,,,, we should of been out setting up 8 bar billiards tables but instead I'm sitting at home drinking cans of John Smiths that were meant for milko and the really sad thing is it's only just gone noon.
I suppose I should be grateful I didn't wake up with a hangover this morning, Im sure if things had gone to plan both Allan and Sav would of been here last night and made me drink far too much beer
Stay safe everyone

Sav I would of been looking forward to meeting you on my way home from work and you were penciled in to play tonight in our second leg of the KO cup first round. It should of been played at the brewery tap so im sure you would of been sampling the black adder amongst the many other real ales they'd of had on tap.
Oh well early bank hol in August is a possible date for the white horse house KO

I'll enter as long as I can have a real drink while im not playing Nearest you're likely to come to winning a game of three pin Dave Sav, its not all about winning, although one day it would be nice to think I may actually manage to win a game, last time I played 3pin it was on a supreme table and I managed a 5k, Steve and myself have played 3 pin on narrow tables but that again is a totally different game. Its about taking part while not having to play but still having a reason to drink

Thank you Chris that is very generous and likewise thank you to other people who have indicated the same wish
I did infact get an email from SARS this morning which I have pasted below
Hi Dave
I thought this may happen what a pity as it’s always such a great event!
we are currently on track to lose 50% of our income from cancelled fundraisers. We are still responding and going out to numerous incidents so need the funds to continue. Amazingly our clinicians are still volunteering for us in their time off despite their massive workloads in the hospitals – amazing people!!
Take care and keep well.
All good wishes

I think we would be looking at a blind pairs Friday night, 4 pin open Saturday and Sunday the 4x4. maybe this could be a time for aebba to support counties and shelve their own less prominent completions for the year

I'm sorry to say that I will not be attending. Hope this horrible thing will disappear quickly and this tournament, if cancelled, can be rescheduled for later in the year but I very much doubt it. Milko Dohh Milko what are you like, now I've got 16 cans of John smiths to drink

Personally, if I was a responsible person I would say we should cancel. There is a chance we could rearrange the tournament to run along with the 4x4 weekend, but this may clash with the interleague div 2 thingy. If people still do want to come down and play we have the option of turning it into the EA open with reduced entrants.
If we do cancel the world 4 pin the question will be, what do you want us to do with the entry fees paid? We can try to refund everyone. Just leave it so people who have paid are in credit for our next tournament or we could just donate the money to charity so SARS don't lose out.
All the above are only my thoughts, as I've said the Suffolk BBA will be holding a meeting later this week.

After talking to some "away players" it seems most people are keen for the tournament to go ahead. Can we please ask people to leave their thoughts below

We are having an emergency meeting this Friday. I've spoken to a few "away" players and they seem keen for us to go ahead. It would be really helpful if players could let us know their thoughts below.
If we have an idea of the number of people still wanting to play we can move forward.

The Sudbury league season has now finished, but the league team knock outs along with individual and doubles KO were due to start this week have all been cancelled

Here in Sudbury we are considering the options, with the open only a couple of weeks away, the plan at the present time is to continue with preparations with a view to hold the event as planned. This option may of course be taken away if the government slap a ban on indoor events. Our committee will be meeting next Friday to discuss things further.
It would be interesting to hear some of your thoughts though, the people I have spoken to seem to think we should go ahead and indeed I did have someone phone me last night asking for suggestions on accomodation near the venue and they have now booked for the Friday and Saturday nights
If it does go ahead I think we would need to ask for everyones help, being sensible, being responsible etc. Around this area we cant even buy a toilet roll, although I wouldn't ask people to bring toilet rolls it would be extremely helpful if you find a source of hand sanitizer that you could bring your own along with you.
