Congratulations to the White Hart A, do you have scores Vinny?
And as for that Dave Warren, I always knew he had a big one in him, that must be the highest break of the season by at least 10! ;D

As Keith says a fine match, as all our encounters with Oxford A are. Both legs played in a good spirit. A most enjoyable night although a win for me would have been nice for my 190 mile round trip!!

Saturday 29th March at CWMC
Reading A 4 - 1 Eynsham. Reading win 6 - 4.
Haven't got the scores but Ray needed to win the last leg by 25k+ to win on aggregate, something even his "speedy" pairs partner wouldn't have managed!
Feel a bit sorry for Milhouse, his first one up dangles on the lip, when Bernie gets to the table it drops and Bernie finishes the table off for 18.5k - definitely the turning point of the match.
Played in a really good spirit throughout, a pleasure to play in.

Nige - thanks for the pic, it looks really good. No wonder so many people wanted to win it. I'll see what I can come up with next year!

Viv Sheperd (Wright) not only won the AEBBA ladies goodness knows how many times but also won the AEBBA pairs. Jan Taylor has also been runner up in the AEBBA pairs under her maiden name of Powell (198?)

Chris, I would just like to add my thanks. The tables were superb, and having played them all I honestly could not fault any.
Also, a big thanks for the light, I am fully operational in the shed now. Fridge included!

Does anyone know the format for the pairs, ie are they drawn or can you enter with a chosen partner?
Thanks Paul

My younger brother Jonathan was a member of the Kent team in '85 or '86, can't remember which, along with Ricky Brownlow among others. I think Doug Phillips who still plays in Tunbridge Wells may have been in the team as well. I was in fact the driver for the day and remember it well as Jonathan was the first Sainsbury to get an AEBBA winners trophy (I was runner up in 1982 AEBBA singles).

Don't know how many (would need to have a count up) but I have won league titles with Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Andover and both Reading Monday & Thursday leagues so I guess that's 5 different leagues - sorry Tommo!

Pete, forgot to mention, big bruv spotted the Paul Lawson/Gary Johnson error after I had sent the first batch out so I corrected it. This means some people will have a copy with Gary's name in the final.

I'd just like to point out that all of the copying and putting into envelopes was done in my own time (lunch time and after hours), and yes I am very busy at work!!
