Oracle 4-2 Vikings Keith 7410 - 200 Mike Keith was the same as Robin, getting a couple of small breaks in each game with Mike not having a lot of luck at all. Cheeky bugger i was a small 10 short of 5 in the last game after mike lost his break of over 3k

Tim was the master of nicking games last night ! In his singles both Ian and Tim lost breaks just before the bar that could have been decisive, Ian was about level then pegged it, Tim got a few hundred to have the game about won, pegged it and then dragged himself over the line. In the pairs he went off with over 2.5k and then tried a 100 split shot which i was nodding at behind him, he caught it thin and lost it. Pauline did almost the same thing when around a similar score in reply so nearly 10 minutes gone, scores 0 - 0, then the bottom end claimed the rest of the game until Ian had the break back with next to no time left, only he knows what happened after that, he missed both balls on the break to gift us a chance.
Roger went off well in his game against make until he broke down, mark getting over 6k in reply leaving Roger a sniff if he got the balls back, unfortunately he didn't and Mark did.
Thanks to Ernie for trying his best to play despite recovering from his injury, it went well during practice but i think the injury said "no ready just yet" as he tried to play his singles game. Kevin did play well !

Vikings 4 - 2 Oracle
Robin 2 - 0 Iain, easily the best two games of the night in terms of scores, robin played the break very well. Bob 1 - 1 Sid, not much to write about here, both tight games and the table got the better of both of them especially at the top. Mick 1 - 1 Keith, First game was another tight game with neither of us getting the balls back after mikes opening small break, Second I had a 4.5k one of not many over 2k, mick struggled to get the balls going for him.
Lovely break table, when you manage to get a go at it !

If this is changed, please note David will be away for the following two weeks so we wouldn't be able to play during that period, when he returns I miss one week with Jersey.

Yes, we took full advantage in the Singles, Dave and Dennis finally got the break running in the pairs, but fortunately Dave came off when chasing 5k with 6 minutes to go, around the 3k mark. They were still about 2k behind when he went for the glory shot ! Happy with my scores considering I was playing with a cue out of the snooker rack as the tip was missing off mine when I went for a practice.

Rileys has team prices so kennington wasnot the only one to do it. Personally I always thought away teams should have got it as they were guest memebers for the night.

Didcot v Masons A..match cancelled. Why was this match cancelled but they played a different match? Just a guess but cancelling a league match incurs a penalty points played late.....

keith 2 - 1 Roger.
Roger played the table well on his second break in the first. I amassed 8k over 3 breaks of 2+ plus in the second taking it to the decider. Roger broke down early as he did in the first, this time I stayed on coming off after 7+ putting me nearly 6 up with about 3 minutes to go.

I might be wrong, but, I seem to remember the closing comments from the top table being, we will call a meeting of the new committee very soon to discuss the format. I don't remember any mention of an egm.....

An egmis to ratify or vote on a specific point.if the egm was to vote on the format then fine. It's not its to vote on how to implement the format passed,at the AGM.
If this isn't the case, anarchy will rein. A precedent of allowing am egm to be called to vote against any agm decision. Good f'ing luck for future years.

Agm was held, decision was made. You can't have an egm that allows a counter proposal, that's bullocks. If that happens why bother with an agm.
I agree with members voting on how the new system works but not to vote against it.
Sort it out my chairman and Secretary.

Get a better program or change the scoring to two points a win so a draw is one each making it best of 12 !

I think the 3's should stay on a Thursday but other than that I agree. if you get knocked out or don't enter there are too many gaps.

Four player rule amendment.
Any team using the 4 player rule must forfeit a break. currently the rule says its the 4th or 5th game that is adjusted accordingly.
This works fine for most scenario's with one exception when playing teams in the bottom section.
As it stands
Prem against bottom no breaks anyway - so the four player rule doesn't really apply here Section 1 against bottom is where the issue is, if the section one team is away its fine but there is a problem when they are at home. Currently they get the first break only. This means they are not penalised for playing the four player rule at home.
I propose they SHOULD lose the first break as well if the 4 player rule is used.
