I think the prices above are per night based on 2 sharing and not per person per night ? Curt This is for single occupancy, I've booked a twin room. Bob

The rule 'not passing the 200 hole' was instigated by Milko during the forum driven rewrite of the rules that AEBBA had left moribund for twenty years.
I had shared a similar experience where an opponent got a few thou first break and then simply rolled a ball up the baulk line (deliberate miss) every time he went to the table. There was nothing in the rules to stop him, though it was hardly in the spirit of the game. I thus backed Milko's proposal.
I don't think it is a particularly good rule but no-one has ever come up with an improvement. Hi, One way to stop the above could be a warriant of Guernseys rule 44 ii: Deliberately missing the object ball. this is the same as knocking over the black peg, which would result in the total loss of the recorded score.

Yes indeed interesting times ahead.
Alan is selling two of his pool tables to make room for the barbilliards in the pool hall.
When the new tables arrive, Alan wants to hold competition weekends with both barbilliards and pool with prize money.
We're hoping that once pool players have a go at barbilliards they will enter a team into the league.
Watch this space.

that a table I first played on in 1968 and was my home table for over 25 years in the Rohais, Jamaica and lastly the Wayside before I stopped playing for 18 months should be almost unplayable. The table use to play like a dream and was arguably the best on the island, high scoring, fast and straight except for the slight turn to the left when playing the left hand thirty which has been the trend on the two Riley's I've owned. I don't know what is happening at the Fontaine but if my memory serves me right this is the third good table that's entered the venue only to turn into a real pig to play.

Hi, The other point in the 4 player rule is that the team with 5 players will get the break in the redrawn game, I.e if Layabouts are playing Happy Lands at Happy Lands but only field 4 players then even though they are the away team they will only have 4 of the opening breaks not 5. Hopefully this will encourage teams to field five players as they have the potential of dropping two points, on a close season this could cost a team the league title.

The season starts with an interesting meeting between Layabouts (league champions) and Happy Landing the new/reformed team, sadly not at the new venue, we will have to wait till the third week for the first game on the ex Jersey table.
With all the changes/amendments the the rules are they going to be attached to the GBBA website as agreed at the AGM.
Best of luck the everyone for the new season.

Sad to see Stormin' taking a break, it would have been good to defend the league title but can understand his reasons.
A few years back I retired for a season and a half and came back refreshed and stronger, hopefully Norm will be back next season also refreashed.
You'll be missed mate.
