Not having a go at you TJ, I think what you do and the hours you spend doing it are phenominal and much appreciated. Everyone should have a copy of the rules to avoid these situations.

Yes, we've had 3 Home matches and got it wrong every time! We've played the breaks in the correct order, but not the order of nominations.

Bob, not having a set of rules shouldn't happen. I thought all teams had received one, we certainly did.

Can't see where the website suggests that order was correct. Rule L 5. looks pretty clear to me.

Looks like there is still confusion re. who gets what breaks. Last week we played the Pocket Rocket, who still had the "original" version of this season's fixtures, and were expecting to have all 5 breaks, when they should have breaks 2,3 and 5. I see from the Alex v Pocket Rocket match that the Alex had breaks 2 and 4, when they should have had breaks 1 and 4. Having re-read the rules this morning, we even got it wrong when we played the Henty (containing the league secretary) last night. The rule when a premier side plays a premier side is that the Home captain nominates first in games 1 and 4, with the away captain in games 2,3 and 5. We didn't do that with us nominating first in all games. I don't think we've done it correctly all season - oops! It also doesn't actually say who should have the break, rather it's assumed that the Home side has 1 and 4.

BHCC 3 - 2 Plough
In order played
Neil Higgins 3670 3060 Dave Knight Spud 2980 4050 Geoff Fairs Gary Ridley 8250 1210 Chase Newman Tim Wright 1120 2180 Richard Todd Paul Barnett 5620 100 Jan Bithell
Result could easily have been a lot different. First game scrappy and I only put myself far enough in front just before the bar dropped. Spud lost enough to have won his game. Very good 7.3k break and touch from Gary. Tim lost 800 opening break which could have made a difference. Jan unluckily lost a near 5k opening break when the cue ball moved just as she went to hit it and took out a peg. Paul 5k and touch. Always a good evening with the Plough.

So, having played what were the Swan A twice last season, where we had 3 breaks to their 2, and losing 4-1 each time, this season we have to give them all 5 breaks Home and Away. Really?

I make that 24 matches for Premier teams, not 22, and 22 for Div 1, not 20.

I wonder if the result would have been any different if the breaks had been played correctly I.e. the Alex should have been the Away team with breaks 1 and 3. Hmmm

Due to both teams having unavailabilities, Pocket Rocket v Swan Nomads will not be played on the 13th June. It will now be played on Thursday 27th June and, with a potential clash with a Watney Mann match, it will be played at the Charles Dickens not the Henty.
