Hi Sav Do you still have any of the cloth sets available. I have nearly completed the restoration of my old Jelkes and that cloth would be a real treat.
PS I havn't forgotten the table drawings, I am just resizing them to print on our plan printer, I will post a copy to you as soon as I can. did you have any more luck with the sketchup drawing? I think you will need to download the free program.

Hi,
Yes I have spare cloth, same price.
No I had not looked any further on the 3D as I've been repairing storm damage and digging up the drive to repair a broken sewer pipe, lovely job turd strangling! Just several trees to dispose of now. I need to research the software as I do not download freebies onto my PC unless I am absolutely certain they are safe. I have an A3 printer but electronic preferred for future use. Somewhere on here are the plans I did. I mean to reorg that section.

Thanks Chris I will have one set please. Can you confirm total price with postage to TA21 9LD, and I will get a cheque to you post haste .
Going back to the Sketch up program, I have had it on my computer at home and and work for 3 years without any problems at all. It was created by Google and then changed to Trimble about a year or so ago. The free program is the "light" version of the professional version that runs at about £300. But I have found it perfectly adequate for my work, especially for drawing staircases, customers appreciate being able to see exactly how they will look and can virtually walk up the stairs before we have even cut a bit of wood.

Turd strangling finished, quite pleased I got the driveway paving back down so that you cannot see where I'd been. Hopefully the end of a very unpleasant few years of having to rod blockages from hanging down a manhole just downstream of the blockage, problem is as you get older you can't get back out so quickly when the severn bore starts!!
I digress! Package weighs just under 1kg and recorded delivery is £3.70 for full compensation, say 30p for a padded envelope so £4, £40 in all. Let me know how you wish to pay, if bank transfer then I'll PM you my details.
I've put arrows on the underside to show nap direction which should always be to the far end, rear cushion does not matter, up or down.
Best wishes,
Chris

Hi Chris, please PM me sort code and a/c no. and I will transfer the money. If you would also pass the cloths to Stephen Coleman when at Bournemouth that would be most helpful and gratefully appreciated.
Best wishes,
Lorin

Out of cloth at present after the last twenty sets have gone.
Does anyone anticipate needing more in the near future as I've had a couple of enquiries.
I don't want to spend almost £700 on another bulk buy unless some is going to go out.

Managed to get a bit more out of Hainsworth by doubling the order so
Base £26.00
Side pair £9 (nap along)
Top £2.50 (nap across)
So £37.50 a set.
I have also asked about Northern Rubber cushion rubbers as there appears to be a supply crisis on the half inch L shaped we are used to.

£1500 worth of cloth arriving w/c 22/09/14 so will have plenty for months to come
Price is £45 a set (cost plus 5% off-cut wastage allowance) so I'm making almost nothing out of it and the price is still less than trade price for match.
Still stuffed on cushion rubbers though.
Cut sizes in old fashioned inches along the nap will be
Base 61.50 Length 38.00 wide Side X 2 72.00 long 6.00 wide End 6.00 Long 38.00 Wide
Please check this fits it you do not have a standard width Sams or Jelkes table
I have one set of their new flagship 'Precision' cloth which will be going on my pub table today. Will advise on speed and wear Am advised it will not be as hard wearing as match but even faster lovely jubbley.

Covered our pub table with the new Hainsworth Precision cloth and will not be using it again as it's too soft. Started to tear and some staples went straight through it, I dared not pull it as tight as I would have liked. Hainsworth Match is my preferred cloth.
[EDIT] Worse than that I am now taking the Precision off again! Got star-burst rucks around the holes which I have never encountered before, presumably because the cloth is not tight enough. Have seen rim rucks through poor fitting but never star burst like rays of sun.
Back to Match!

Random question but how much could you get the cloth for enough to recover a snooker table? Just the bed no cushions

No problem in asking Mark,
Hainsworth Match costs me £37 a sq metre. I've costed it out to tables at £40 a sq metre. to allow for any wastage and purchase of vacuum storage bags as it cost me money on the last lot!!
I you want 4 metres and are quick I can add it to the existing order at cost price as there would be no wastage. I will not be buying another large quantity for the foreseeable future.
Problem is delivery is in the few days after the intercounties weekend so I am not likely to be seeing Didcot before the old gits as I am unable to take my slot in the AEBBA County Champions weekend.

Sav It's ok for now Chris. Was just wondering how much it would cost as we would be looking to recover the table at the end of this season which is around May, so no hurry. At least we know a rough cost, so thanks.

Next opportunity to collect and last before Bournemouth to avoid postage is the AGM.
I'm bringing up five sets for Tunbridge Wells also Marcus from Brighton asked after cloth in Jersey.
Anyone else need any?
Same applies for my stocks of 5/8ths Northern Rubber, Lionide leatherette and possibly rings.

If I were to buy any more cloth on a one-off purchase, would anybody be interested in combining for a bulk order?
Need to know quickly and I would only be buying what is needed.
Obviously I will not be buying £1500 worth of cloth as in the past, so the price is certain to be a little higher.
