I needed to order in batches of six as seven metres of cloth gives six sets.

Thus 24 sets ordered, so a couple of spares if anyone has missed the boat.

Cloth snicked & ripped into 24 sets (gets your back!!) I'll invoice, those who have ordered, in the morning. Please pay by the BACS details I'll give you if at all possible and I'll take the cloth to The East Anglian Open or Guernsey, let me know which. If you are at neither then please arrange collection from someone who is if you want to avoid postage.

Had a couple of inquiries for cloth and there may be enough to order in bulk (ordered in batches of six from seven metres of cloth). This is based in standard width tables with three quarter length slates.

Someone asked me recently but I cannot remember whom!

Anyone interested @ £45 a set (pending quote and likely price rise in the New Year).

Certainly Taffy. You do understand that the quote is for standard width three quarter length slate (61½ inches of cloth gives an ample cut)? Narrow tables are longer and narrower and the bulk buy would need adjusting.


Postage will be on top, cheapest is normally My Hermes at about £5 a set.

the bed inside the cushions is 144cm long and 82.5cm across
57" by 32.5"

how does that suit. hopefully i have a normal table.

Is that the standard rubber we use for our cushions?

No, standard rubber is 6mm narrower. The normal stuff went out of production due to quality issues. I have recently seen it back on the market but cannot comment on how good it is.


I rebate my cushions by 6mm as this  rubber is better quality, lasts much longer and is far better supported in the rebate - more work to do the conversion though. I got a batch of rebated meranti (light hardwood) rails made up for me.

I'm happy to trust you on this Sav and can do rebates. I had no idea what 'northern rubber' was though! Can you do me a set? I see rubbers for sale but lack the detail knowledge.

I've got people asking me for cloth again, so intend to approach Hainsworth for some best quality Match cloth later next week.

As usual it needs to be ordered on the roll in quantities that cut up to make six sets.

Anyone interested? cost price last time was £45 a set and that's what I charge you.

Usual problem is getting to you, hopefully Jim M. might once again help on this.

Thanks Chris, if you are going to AGM then great, otherwise I will ask Jim if he could possibly collect. Cliff Slade goes down Jim's way at least once a month, so will get Cliff to collect from Jim. Just been advised by Hainsworth of a price increase in January and that my discounted rate (£30 a metre plus VAT) will end, increasing to their fixed rate of £40 plus the price rise (5 to 10%) from Jan 1st.

Close on a 40% increase - Ouch!

Good business then to get in when you did.
