Nudge nudge.............H/V/P.......... ..... Not mentioning any names, but if you do a Search above on the key word "Whistleblower" you will find a very strong case for the award of further Kipling Points. ;) ;)

Mick
I take it there will be plenty of Tart points available tonight as I believe both Burton Cons teams are in action?! ;D

Just a quick note to let you that Tart points galore were in evidence in Jersey, by past masters and some natural newbies (they didn't have a clue what was happening!).
some quickies before Tommo fills several pages with details ;D ;D ;D... Tommo for playing chess while everyone else was getting plastered.. :-/ Jock for his well earned new nickname 'No CD' (story to follow when I've stopped laughing) ;D Sav for his shorts :-[ Tommo's new nickname Claire, as used on the tournament lists instead of Clive. :P Tommo for his socks (especially the ones with Clive printed all over when we were calling him Claire) ::) Andy (man mountain) for none-too-politely moving someone who stood in front of one our smaller party members.....oops >:(
Northants were very much missed at this TartFest and should all have large point deductions for dereliction of duty ;) 8-)

Northants were very much missed at this TartFest and should all have large point deductions for dereliction of duty ;) 8-) Well said, Sparky. Nominations will certainly be forwarded to Herr van Puebik once I have had time to dig out my notes. It certainly was a great experience and would you believe that there was even the "Roo Lounge" - uninhabited by its most natural incumbent, so some tart points there for starters. ;)

Because Tommo is naturally shy ;D I can tell you he got to the last sixteen (round 5) with respectable scores on the way (where he was beaten by Harry Barbet), no mean achievement by my reckoning :). Sparky, No CD, Lorraine, PeteH, RobH, all stumbled in the second round :(, while Gordo and KevH made the 3rd round of the Plate :)(Kev lost narrowly to Pauline Withey :()
But the 'crack' made up for any disappointments :)

Well, Tart points aside, here's a brief resumee of how people on the Kipling List performed in the actual World Championships : Mark (Milhouse) Stretford End - World Pairs Semi-finalist and Plate Quarter-finalist, showing off as per usual.Chris (Sav) Saville - tough draw, lost in 2nd Round to Jersey Island Champ.Clive (Homer PINK cardigan) Thompson - last 16 for 1st time in 10 attempts. Graham (Sparky) Sparksman -brilliant win over Dino Clark in 1st round but crashed out in 2nd round. Kevin (Katie) Tunstall - WORLD CHAMPION (we are not worthy) 8-) Fazza - World Pairs SemiFinalist; crashed out in 1st round to Guernsey's Bob Chapple, then had a good run in the Plate.Elsie - think he got through a couple of rounds, but didn't make the last 32.Barney (paraphrasing) Bear - think he lost to Jersey player - but had a good run in the Plate.Johnny (Windy) Miller - think he lost to Surrey 'tart' Keith Wilkinson, but not sure which round.Steve (Heroine) Mariner - good first round win, but then lost to Katie in Round Two.Glenn (Air Guitar) Chubb - our Forum-meister did very well indeed, impressively making it to the last 32.Barry (Twirly for the match) Holt - if memory serves me right he beat Sue Mariner but lost to Mal Spier in Round Two. Also lost to tommo at chess. ;) Keith (Milko) Sheard - a very worthy semi-finalist, but events conspired against him when he downed a 12k break against Jim Millward. (Colour scheme edited to suit Sparky's Minotaur)

Thanks for the info Graham and thanks also for the report Claire and well played and congratulations for being the first transvestite to get into the last 16 :-* I'll sift through it in the next day or two when I get a minute ::) Shorts definitely get points though especially if worn with a thermal vest :P
