Narrow SAMS here from Bridgwater, Somerset: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bar-billiards-table-/131184514283Ex-pub, possibly the Rose & Crown, Cannington which is on our map. Billed as a 'French table' but vendor has probably been misled by the "S.V.Brevete" engraved on the front of the timing mechanism. This is purely a reference to the Patent for the timer. Went for £785 after 21 bids

A bit of an enigma, this one from Louth, Lincs: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bar-billiards-table-/171327322493It's an early one (slot takes sixpences) and has the four cue slots a la Padmores. However it has round legs ! The wood has a good clean grain and the baize looks perfect. My guess is that it's a former league table (it's "Snookerette" country) which has been salvaged and refurbished - which entailed installing a set of Jelkes legs for convenience. Not a bad job, I've seen a lot worse. Went for £585 after 36 bids from 11 separate bidders.

Here's an interesting one from Tidworth in Wilts.....anyone spot the deliberate mistake ? www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bar-Billiards-table-/121365014973At last ! A way has been found to slow down the likes of Phil Collins, Nigel and Milko ! Went for £310-01 after 15 bids.

Apart from the rushed (for photos I assume) assembly cock up. Something looks very odd with the hole liners??

Apart from the rushed (for photos I assume) assembly cock up. Something looks very odd with the hole liners?? Well yes, delving deeper, the frame looks in very good nick, the leatherette also. Four of the pockets have a mushroom in them so I can't really see what you mean, but yes I do agree that the right hand fifty pocket seems to have a sunken cup. As vendor does not seem to know the first thing about bar billiards, questions should be made as to how she came by it.

This one from Exeter looks "narrer" too, from the exact diamond configuration of the major holes: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bar-Billiards-Table-/251619099046Certain admissions made (faded cloth, crack in slate) suggest that the vendor might not be expecting the earth for it. Went for £101-23 after 22 bids.

Narrow table from Guildford, Surrey: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bar-Billard-Table-/141386294717Billed as a "Brevete" table.....this is false as it purely relates to the timer, and is just a patent mark stamped/engraved on the same. But the table could indeed be French going by the bevelled edging on the legs. No apparent leg adjusters by the way. Should go for the low handreds. "This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available." Sold privately, possibly.
