As for us, we are now getting asked about our hotel booking by the travel company. If the tournament is to take place later this year that would be great. We just need to get a feel for a revised date and we'll push our booking to then, given that we will not be allowed to travel for the original dates. If it falls that travel is OK for a revised date but then the tournament is put back to 2022 we'll come over anyway. Thanks all.

We still have our booking in place at Les Roquettes. Happy to just roll this over to another date if one is fixed for later in the year. Like TJ, it feels to me that May will come too early for travel.

Am truly gutted to be reading this. This takes me back to my formative years playing bar billiards and many good times spent at the Crabtree in Lancing with Keith and others. Keith was also my best man way back when. I knew he hadn't been well for a long while but it is still a shock to read this. My thoughts are with his brothers and sister. RIP Keith.

Is anybody still going to Jersey, even if only for a holiday and Tennerfest. We are at the moment and are at the Club Hotel and Spa.

Will be looking to play the following week as not back from Australia until 28th. For some reason, thought I had a bye.

Waiting for footy allocations but can't see me being available. Sorry but will be refereeing in Wiltshire that day and so can't make the Masters.

I too would echo the comments of others. Alan was a true gentleman at all times, such a great guy always smiling and always had time to chat. On the BB front he was a very tough opponent and you knew you'd played well if you came out on top against him. RIP Alan and condolences to all the family.

It is with a heavy heart and great regret that I have to inform all that Matt Mason passed away yesterday Matt had been a member of the Worthing League for more years than I care to remember, always a tough opponent who has suffered ill health for a while now. From a personal view I and Matt have known each other for many years via bar billiards, the pub and the bookmakers, will be sadly missed RIP Matt. So sorry to be reading this and posting this reply. I'd known Matt for many, many years and always enjoyed his company. In terms of the lower divisions, as Joe/Phil note, he was largely unbeatable. Matt, you'll be really missed and rest in peace my friend.

Gary beat Pete 2-0 last night at CKRBL. Table a bit tricky and certainly difficult at the back. Low scoring first leg but I did manage a 4k break in the second. Forgot the most important bit !! Thank you to Neil and Ros for scoring.

Hi TJ. Just to let you and the players know The Watermill does not have a Landline number the one that was there is disconnected. I will send you details of the Mid Sussex Captain he may be able to help. Ah, that would explain why I was unable to get through and book for the Mid-Sussex doubles.

Gary and Nick beat Ben and Pete 2-0 tonight. Two very close games. Played at Marine View as Albion needed for inter-league for Brighton A. Thanks to Martyn for letting us play as bar closed. Table a little tricky but decent scores. Thanks to Mr B for scoring second leg.

Mr Ridley. Mr Burgess, our early evening captain for 40% of the proceedings last Thursday, is very upset that he appears to have been totally forgotten in your write up. I agree. In the absence of both you and skippy it was he who formulated the plan for the downing of the dastardly Dickens on their own patch. That now makes 1.4 evenings of bar billiards in 18 years where he has been unbeaten as stand-in captain (the first 2 legs last Thursday at 1-1 and all of some forgotten game somewhere aeons ago that we won) and he thinks he deserves some recognition of this outstanding achievement. Barney (4th reserve captain now that Mr Brown appears to have done a runner). You are correct Mr 4th reserve captain, as is Mr early evening captain. There was a plan that was formulated which Ros and I followed in the proceedings of legs 3 & 4 and I acknowledge that I did keep my write up short. I am of course happy to set the record straight and accept that I am perhaps merely Murdock as opposed to Hannibal in terms of a plan coming together.

Oops, yes of course it's at the Dickens. So, at the Dickens against the Dickens. 3-2 win for the Nomads. ** Paul 10,680 - Ted 1,230 Lyn 640 - ** Chris 9,760 Ros 6,830 - ** Andy 390 ** Gary 10,260 - Dave 840 Tony 3,460 - ** Steve 4,630 Third leg the key to this with Ros beating Andy. 4,220 break for Ros mid-match settling things. Nice pizzas, good company.
